OUR HISTORY

A Legacy of Craftsmanship: The Sylvestre Family Business

Founded in 1933 by Peter Eugene Sylvestre, the business began as a small carpentry and building operation, with Peter traveling to job sites by bicycle. Over the years, the company evolved from a general contracting firm to a specialized kitchen and bath business, passing through multiple generations.

Peter’s son, Eugene “Sonny” Sylvestre, took over in 1960, shifting the business toward renovations and downsizing from larger construction projects. By 1982, Jeff Sylvestre assumed leadership, expanding into kitchen design and cabinetry, which remains the company’s focus today.

Now run by the third and fourth generations, Sylvestre Kitchen & Bath continues to uphold the values of quality craftsmanship and personalized service from its original location in Pembroke, Ontario.
